Last December I visited the Cyerga church in Rwanda for the first time. As the executive team for World Orphans walked the project sight we prayed for two new homes for 10 boys and 10 girls, for the damaged school to be refurbished and brought back to life, and for a new roof for the small Rwandan church so it could grow in strength and impact. I promised the Rwandan pastor and church leaders that I would find a western church partner to come along side of them and we prayed about that as well. I am back 10 months later and praising God for his faithfulness for all our prayers.
The two homes are 90% complete, 20 orphans have been screened and will soon be moving in, the school is near completion and will reopen in January, the church has a new roof and on Sunday welcomed 13 new members, performed 9 baptisms, and led 11 new believers as they trusted Christ for the first time. Oh and did I mention that I am here with a church team from Tennessee that is committed to partner with this church/home. They worshiped, prayed, did community outreach at a local clinic and school and are already preparing for future team trips! God is GOOD! EC3 - each child, each church, each community. Enjoy the photos. Until they all have homes, Alan
