I am very excited to be leading a short term team of 10 to Rwanda later this week. The purpose of the trip is to launch a new partnership between Northpointe Church of Johnson City, Tennessee and CECC Church in Cyegera, Rwanda. World Orphans has funded the construction of two family homes for 20 children and the repair of several buildings on the church property that will serve as a grade school for the orphans and children in the local community.
The Northpointe short term team will engage in worship, relationship building, child and project needs assessment, and medical and evangelistic outreach with their new Rwandan church partner. Please pray for the team:
- That God will be given glory and honor by this work.
- Team unity and health.
- Timely flight connections and safe travel while in Rwanda
- Peace and safety for families at home.
- Effective cross cultural communication.
- That lasting relationships will be established.
- That many will be led to Christ as the church engages in care for the fatherless.
- That God will reveal himself in new and unexpected ways to the team and our Rwandan brothers and sisters.
